Executive Protection & Vulnerability

Executive Protection & Vulnerability Course
We designed our 45-hour Executive Protection & Vulnerability Course specifically for individuals who desire a unique experience with VIP and executive protection principles.
Executive Protection is much different in reality than what you have seen in the media or in the movies. This type of work is an art form that requires specialized training and incredible awareness.
The Course Curriculum
Assassins, Attackers, Mass Shooters and Stalkers: focusing on the psychology, methods of operation and common threads of these attackers.
Terrorism: the realities, signs, behavioral characteristics and methods of operation.
Street Gangs & Criminals: how they differ from other attack groups.
International Legal Issues regarding Use of Force: this section is unique and it is unlikely you will find it in other courses. You will learn simple, effective use of force techniques that are grounded in a firm legal foundation.
Asset Surveys: learn what you need to know about the person you are protecting.
Principles Of Protection: provides an administrative overview of the complete Executive Protection function and responsibilities. Most Executive Protection courses focus on primary techniques and strategies for the agent who is assigned to a post position. This section provides a complete administrative overview.
Defining Risk: this is an Assault Prevention proprietary process over 3 years in development. Most agents who perform executive protection work must function alone or in small teams. Therefore, you have limited resources. This assessment will teach you to define, with accuracy, the greatest vulnerabilities and what you need to focus on. It is the essential planning tool for any detail or mission.
Site Advance: there are a number of methods used to conduct an appropriate and comprehensive site advance. In this section, you will be given tools to conduct a site advance, even if you cannot be there in person.
Protective Intelligence: how to gather appropriate information and intelligence regarding the most likely threat to your asset.
Surveillance: The adversary may have you or the asset under surveillance. These are procedures conducted to identify those monitoring the activities of you, the principal or the organization.
Command Post Operations: the communications center or Command Post is a place into which all information, communication, questions and data flow.
Emergency Planning: it may be difficult to determine if the emergency is an actual emergency or a diversion. They all need to be treated seriously.
Post Operations: simple, but essential.
The Protective Detail Mission: traditionally, law enforcement, military and emergency personnel are trained to go directly to the “problem” and neutralize it. This is not a healthy executive protection principle. In this section you will learn the “dance” of executive protection.
Small Details: for one or a few agents; which, for all practical purposes…..is what you will find yourself doing.
Simulations: this is another Assault Prevention first, and something you will not find in other courses. At the onset of this course you will be given an assignment; a detail with threat attached to it. For every section taught, you practice the principles from that section in a number of related scenarios. Next, you will break into small groups to apply the main principles from that section to your assignment. At the end of the course, we will conduct a live simulation using this assignment for your scenario.
Sales & Marketing: Many companies will take your money and put you through their executive protection course, then send you home. This section will provide practical steps towards obtaining employment in this industry once you have completed the training.
We incorporate lecture, video, dynamic situational exercises, written tests, attendee presentations and simulations throughout this course. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive a certificate indicating the areas of certification.

There are a lot of good, qualified programs and instructors out there. Why should you consider this course? We encourage you to explore this website. Read the articles, information, descriptions and our experience. Look at our FAQ to see who we have worked with in the past. Join us on our Facebook Page at Assault Prevention-LLC. We have a number of videos and articles posted there. You should complete due diligence before attending any course. Please decide for yourself after reviewing these sites if we are credible and relevant.
We have not labeled this a “basic” course. Former course attendees range from people with little experience to former law enforcement and military personnel, first responders and a number of black belt instructors. They all report the same finding: they have never seen an executive protection course put together like this one. Attendees from all backgrounds have had a positive experience attending this course. We take your trust in attending this course very seriously.
1. We offer 3 things you will not find in other courses:
- A legal, functional Use of Force Model based on gross motor skills put into an appropriate context.
- A proprietary Vulnerability Assessment.
- A real-life problem: an assigned detail that runs through the course and is enacted as a simulation in a real environment. We do not just practice techniques in static and passive environments. We incorporate them into real-life.
2. Affordability: many of these types of courses are priced in such a manner that you need to have a relationship with a bank to even consider attending. We have kept our tuition under $1000.00.
3. Personalized: we limit this course to 15 attendees in order to enhance the learning experience.
4. Marketing: one of the weakest links in these type of courses is that you are left on your own trying to figure out how to gain employment in this field once you have completed training. You will hear from those who have worked for many years in this field and understand both the obstacles and dynamics of finding gainful employment.

What Are People Saying?
“I have a better awareness of the capabilities of an individual to gather specific information about people, places and things from the Internet and various agencies in terms of the sheer volume of information that is available.” Anonymous
“This was an awesome course!” Scott E.
“The Instructor did an awesome job, and I cannot imagine a way to improve this course.” Tony G.
“Thanks for your time, your efforts and your ministry. You have blessed more people than you know and through your efforts, incidents and tragedies will be avoided.” Floyd H.
“I appreciate your expertise. This course raised my awareness to a much higher level.” Jeff R.
“I work in this field and have taken two other executive protection courses. This was, hands down, my favorite. None of the others came close to the volume of information you shared. The real-life application was incredible. At one of the other courses we practiced with live ammunition on an outdoor range, which was fun……but how often do you read about protection agents actually shooting people? The stuff you guys teach is directly related to the realities of executive protection work. Kudos.” Becky E.
