As we dig even deeper into research and statistics, we discover a very accurate picture of the situations, environments, and circumstances that accompany these statistics. We know, to a great extent, what elements you will likely encounter in a lethal force situation.

Depending on the circumstances, it is not always possible or practical for a legal permit holder to locate, draw, aim and shoot their handgun. We know from research there is not always enough time or distance between you and the Adversary to do so.

Practical self defense in lethal force situations, based on solid research, must include:

• Techniques that will keep the Adversary away from you.
• Techniques that will allow escape should an Adversary attempt to control you through strong-arm tactics.
• In the event a weapon is used, techniques to disable the Adversary’s ability to control you with the use of a gun, knife or blunt object…so you can escape. 

These are the things we focus on in this 7-hour Course. Assault Prevention Instructors have reviewed cutting-edge research that includes police-shootings, self-defense shootings and national crime statistics as they all relate to violent crime. Throughout this process, we have analyzed how this information can be applied to civilian safety in the area of lethal force, leading us to some very reliable conclusions. If we know what we are likely to face, we also know how to prepare for those situations through training.

This course is a must for those who desire to experience the realism that comes along real-life decision making in lethal use of force situations. We then provide techniques for tactical shooting, based on the information described above.
