Assessments

What is a Vulnerability Assessment?
Do you have identifiable assets, which if seriously degraded, compromised or destroyed, would threaten the mission of your organization? Do you have concern regarding a specific threat? An organization’s specific assets may include a person, a thing, a place, or a procedure.
Examples include:
- A person being stalked or that has received specific threats.
- A municipality that desires security plans for critical assets.
- A corporation whose vision and mission may be compromised by vulnerabilities to their critical assets.
- An agency or corporation that has a person of such value that if he or she were kidnapped or attacked the agency or corporation would suffer serious setback.
- A gated community desiring an effective screening process for anyone who enters or an effective neighborhood response to an emergency.
- The physical location of documents or critical information that, if stolen or destroyed, would throw the organization into chaos.
- An institution that has a significant history of problem employees who have caused damage and as a result that institution may be interested in methods of effectively screening potential employees.
- An organization that, because of its geopolitical presence in the world or demographic location of its facility, desires basic safety measures at its location and safety awareness tactics for its employees.
- A corporation or agency that is exposed to a greater risk of violence due to present geo-political circumstances, such as media outlets, churches, financial institutions, and major events involved in capitalism, free speech, or religion.
- Public events that require a security plan.
- An entity that desires an office emergency plan.

The Assault Prevention Vulnerability Assessment
We have dedicated several years to developing a strategic formula that had to accomplish two things:
1. It would incorporate the recommended approach and framework agreed upon by experts.
2. It would establish an approach and method of filtering through all the versions of assessments as defined above, with a formula that would consider the key principles in each version.
We proudly accomplished these goals allowing us to offer you a cost effective solution that does not waste your time or money. This assessment will filter through whatever safety concerns you have regarding your critical assets or employees – and address them in an exceptional manner.
This assessment determines, using our strategic proprietary formula, what assets are of critical value to the mission of the organization. These are assets which if destroyed, compromised, or otherwise degraded, would seriously jeopardize the organization’s purpose. Once those assets are determined with decision-makers, we conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of probable threats and risks to those assets and provide recommendations and resources to respond with an appropriate reaction and a proactive plan.
Much violence is preventable and avoidable. Some violence is predictable. Using an objective manner, we estimate the likelihood of attack or security breach as well as the likelihood of an accompanying economic loss, loss of life, loss of function and loss of mission. After conducting this thorough assessment, we then submit a plan with our recommendations; which include details on your vulnerabilities, suggestions for various layers and levels of protection, and resources to act upon our recommendations, such as certified training, class materials, hardware and technology, or personnel.
Vulnerability Assessments can be relatively simple and inexpensive or complex and expensive depending what is discovered in the initial stages of the assessment. We prefer to have the opportunity to become familiar with your specific needs in order to assess real risk. To accomplish this, we need to spend time with you. Ultimately, you get what you pay for. Yet, we are sensitive to budgets and the need for cost effectiveness. We make every attempt to keep your costs down, but we do not sacrifice quality in doing so. For all assessments, we provide a free initial consultation in order determine the complexity of the issues.
Fees are dependent on the complexity of services so we can’t quote a fee without further analysis. However, we provide a high return on your investment. Our goal is to educate our clients and make knowledge transfer a significant part of our overall plan so that the benefits are extended far into the future. This is important because few companies provide such a tool. They would rather have you coming back to them every time your circumstances change. Our method of identifying risk is one you will be able to apply to changing environments and circumstances, plus we provide 2 years of free on-going technical support.
Predicting Violence
- Psychological testing cannot predict violent behavior.
- Violence prediction evaluation must include habit strength, motivational factors, situational factors and inhibition factors.
- There are specific evaluations and assessments used to predict different types of violence.
- Non-mental health professionals are as accurate in predicting violent behavior if they use the same criteria.
We conduct Violence Prediction Appraisals on individuals who pose a specific risk or threat. These assessments are based on specific violence and behavioral characteristics. Often, the probability of violence can be predicted. This niche area of study was developed by forensic psychologists and criminologists. Finding professionals who have significant and practical experience in this arena is difficult, at best. Whether it is the stalker, the student everyone wonders about, the troubled employee or the emotionally unstable – we can help.
