Assault Prevention
We highly recommend this course for teens, college students, business travelers, working professionals, or anyone who shops or travels alone. If you live in the United States there is an 8% chance you will become a victim of any crime. There is a 1-2% chance of being a victim of violent crime. Although there is small statistical chance you will be a victim of violent crime, we encourage you to prepare for the possibility. Why? Most people do not have the capacity to foresee the future – but they still wear a seat belt while driving a vehicle.
Within that 1-2% category of violent crime, we know that a weapon is involved 24% of the time. Those weapons are handguns, knives and blunt objects. These weapons in the hands of an assailant can cause great bodily harm or death. The remaining 76% of violent crime is achieved through coercion or strong-arm tactics; generally an assailant’s hands and feet being used to strike, grab or otherwise injure the victim. Strong-arm tactics can cause serious injury.
Violent criminals have psychological profiles that accompany them. Criminals think in specific patterns. They are driven by specific motive. They plan with specific intent. They require specific behavior from victims in order to be successful. The Assault Prevention Course shares the details of this research so participants will have a greater awareness of violent crime, street crime and violent criminals.
Criminals involved in violent crime do not intend to get caught or hurt. They go about their activities with the intent of being successful. Some of them become very good at what they do. In order to succeed, criminals need victims who will provide them opportunities and display specific behaviors that make the victim an attractive target. If potential victims know and understand these principles – and do not give the criminal these things they require – the criminal will move on to look for a better victim.
We have several goals in this course:
- Provide accurate information regarding violent crime and criminals.
- Teach participants to accurately evaluate their environment leading to a much greater awareness.
- Give participants confidence in presenting themselves professionally in routine situations.
- Inform participants what is legal and appropriate action.
- Teach participants appropriate, legal and effective physical techniques for use in emergency situations. These techniques are specifically designed to defend against or disarm handguns, knives and blunt objects or an assailant using strong-arm tactics.
We recognize that physical confrontations may not be predictable, so we do not offer a typical self-defense course. Instead, we empower participants to react in a variety of settings. All physical emergency techniques are basic, simple gross motor skills based on extensive research into real-life confrontations, psychology, and human physiology.

Assault Prevention Note
The standard fee for participation in a classroom setting for the Assault Prevention Course is $129.00. The reason we designed this hybrid online learning experience was to make it available outside of a classroom setting. Attendees consistently advised us that the course was so valuable; they wanted it available for friends and family in other parts of the country.
Why Should I Purchase this Course?
We recognize that there are a great number of martial arts, shooting and self defense videos on the market. These are generally available for less than $100.00. Their primary focus is physical techniques. Very few, if any of them, are going to provide the legal foundation for self defense. None of them are going to provide you with a 49-page curriculum, grounded in solid research, which goes far beyond physical techniques. They will not provide real-life video examples of the principles covered. And finally, it is unlikely they will provide 2-years of free educational support in the form of email contact to answer any questions you might have regarding the course. Assault Prevention does all these things.
1. Click the payment button below for payment.
2. You will receive the 49-page curriculum via an email attachment. Study at your own pace. Watch the accompanying 8 videos on this website. These videos reinforce the curriculum by demonstrating the issues and principles in real-life.
